Egypt

Egypt the land of the pharaohs has long since attracted visitors from around the world. Based in the north of Africa, Egypt has four types of climate, Mediterranean on the Alexandria coast, semi-desert in the Cairo region, temperate along the Nile Valley and desert in the south of the country. Our winter months tend to be the better time to travel as the weather is a bit cooler then.

With just over 72 million people, mostly living in Cairo and Alexandria this is a country with great history and culture. Cairo is the largest city in Africa, a unique fusion of millennial remains and contemporary vibrancy. On one side, you will find a citadel dating from medieval times and on the other the modern office buildings, while in the middle the timeless Nile flows round the islands of Roda, Abu El-Dahab and Gezira. With its colourful Souk, Coptic churches and Egyptian, Islamic and Coptic museums there is plenty to keep you on the go in Cairo.

Sharm El Sheikh is on the tip of the Sinai Peninsula and is one of the most popular resorts on the Red Sea. With its sandy beaches, nightlife, numerous water sports and rich in sea life perfect for divers, this resort caters for all.

Hurghada, anybody who loves diving will also love this extraordinary
diver’s paradise. Renowned for the variety of its aquatic flora and fauna on the coral reefs, this seaside resort is ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving.

Luxor, located south of Cairo on the Nile, is the gateway to the temples. Visit the Luxor museum where you can see monuments of the ancient civilisations, Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, the Karnak and many more.

There is no better way to experience the Nile is by boat, why not take a three, four or seven night cruise from Luxor and visit many museums and temples along the way.
